Here at the Aakash we pride ourselves at being the largest Indian restaurant in the world, and now to celebrate Easter we have created the largest Easter egg in Yorkshire. The Head Chef, Ejaz in support of his kitchen team has created the largest Easter egg in Yorkshire and most probably the largest Easter egg in the UK. The egg is created from scratch measuring 9.5 Ft in height and 4.5 Ft in Width. The base of the egg is made up of wooden planks covered in 300 Kilo’s of pure edible chocolate. The Kitchen Team has spent a total of 100 Hours in preparation of the Egg and an estimated cost of £1500. The chocolate is sourced from local suppliers in Yorkshire.

The Egg is open for display for customers till 20th of April, 09 and through out this period the restaurant would be collecting donations from the customers for the charity ‘CHILDREN IN NEED’. The management at the Aakash believes that this is an ideal time for the display the egg as parents can come over with their young one’s and rejoice the spirit of Easter during the Easter holidays.
